Ribbons
WHO?
This job is an easy way to pass the time during the morning practice following each meet. It is ideal to have 2 - 3 adult volunteers.
WHAT?
The volunteer responsible for Ribbons receives stickers to place on the backs of ribbons for all 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners. Participation ribbons are also created for swimmers 7 & under who did not place. After preparing the ribbons, the volunteer will sort them via file folders per each family. As swimmers come and go from the team each season, the volunteer will need to remove and add new folders/new file labels.
WHERE?
Volunteers should complete the tasks during morning swim practice. Supplies and ribbon labels (printed the night before by coaches) are located in the supply closet at the pool. You can set up at any table around the pool to complete the tasks. After completion, you will need to return all supplies to the supply closet. The file folders can be left out for swimmers to pick up their ribbons but returned to the closet at the close of practice.
WHEN?
This job is completed during morning swim practice on the day following the meet.
