Meet the Board
The Shallowford Lakes Sea Lions swim team is led by an amazing team of volunteers. A big thank you to these dedicated individuals for their time and effort in supporting our summer swim program!
- Ages of swimmers: Lukas (12)
- What is your "can't live without it" item at a summer swim meet? Sharpies... and a chair... and lots of snacks... and cold water bottles... and for little kids - Toys that they will enjoy playing with on a blanket/towel (Legos, cars, etc.)... I never pack light for a swim meet!
- Tip for a new swim team family? Don't be afraid to volunteer. Our first year I thought that I didn't know enough about swim to volunteer. But people will help you know how do each job, and it is really fun to help the meets move along smoothly!
- Favorite snack at the pool on a hot day? Cold watermelon - with salt on it!
- If someone gave you a "golden ticket" to any place, concert, game or event... what would you choose? A season pass to ski in Utah for an entire winter

Tip for a new swim team family? Print out heat sheets at home prior to the meet and ask a seasoned swim team member to help mark up your swimmer at the meet - make sure and bring a sharpie!
Favorite snack at the pool on a hot day? cold fruit
If someone gave you a "golden ticket" to any place, concert, game or event... what would you choose? Ireland, Scotland

- Tip for a new swim team family? Don't be afraid to ask questions. You don't know what you don't know. Celebrate with your swimmer. They may not have finished 1st; but, they may have dropped time, and that, in itself, is a win!
- Favorite snack at the pool on a hot day? Strawberries, pineapple and cantaloupe
- If someone gave you a "golden ticket" to any place, concert, game or event... what would you choose? Antigua, here we come! Just make sure it is a one-way ticket though!

Tip for a new swim team family? Volunteer to be a timer for the best view of your swimmer when they race!
Favorite snack at the pool on a hot day? Fresh Fruit
If someone gave you a "golden ticket" to any place, concert, game or event... what would you choose? Olympic swimming or the MLB World Series!
Ages of swimmers: 10, 8, almost 7, & a busy 3 yr old who keeps me on my toes!!!
What is your "can't live without it" item at a summer swim meet? A misting fan and LOTS of water, electrolytes, and snacks!!
Tip for a new swim team family? Ask lots of questions! Everyone has been new before so everyone is happy to help!!!
Favorite snack at the pool on a hot day? Watermelon and grapes! And my kids love popsicles!
If someone gave you a "golden ticket" to any place, concert, game or event... what would you choose? A trip to Bora Bora to relax and swim in the turquoise water is my dream vacation!
