About Us
The Shallowford Lakes Sea Lions is a team of swimmers ranging in age from 5-18 years. We are a part of the Greater Forsyth Swim League and compete with neighborhood teams from across Forsyth County. We begin our season in mid-May and have 6 swim meets prior to our GFSL Finals in mid-July. Many swimmers join our team as true beginners and enjoy growing in strength and ability while celebrating the fun and friendships of summer swim team. The Sea Lions Team is truly a team for athletes of all abilities. We love to watch our Sea Lions grow up as they return each year and even take on roles mentoring and coaching our younger swimmers.
The Greater Forsyth Swim League has three divisions based on team size. For the past two years we were just big enough to compete in the division alongside the largest teams in the league. This upcoming season we return to the MIDDLE division and will be competing against teams with 65-85 swimmers. This should result in slightly shorter dual meets and will also allow our Sea Lions to swim against teams very comparable in size.
